Geeks Make Great Sous Chefs!

On March 3rd, in two dozen kitchens around Seattle, 110 Consulting geeks will showcase their culinary and volunteer skills as they prep, chop and sauté under the leadership of head chefs who also happen to be high school students. The teams will work together to create delicious dinners for Global Visionaries ‘Come To Table’ campaign.
‘Come To The Table’ is a unique event sponsored by 110 Consulting to generate low income scholarships for Global Visionaries’ youth leadership programs. This fun and unique event showcases GV students as they whip up and serve creative international recipes. During the meal, students will share their GV experiences and facilitate a dinner table conversation focused specifically on hope. Twenty-two dinner parties will kick off simultaneously around Seattle.

110 Consulting’s Jonathan Cooper is excited to be teaching Web Design to students at Seattle’s Garfield High School. Jonathan was recruited as a part-time teacher through TEALS (Technology Education And Literacy in Schools), a pilot program that recruits, mentors, and places high-tech employees who are passionate about education into high need K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) classes where the school district is unable to meet those needs on its own. Jonathan brings a unique perspective to the classroom as he taps into his experiences designing for the gaming industry, social media and fortune 100 corporations.
110 Consulting is committed to empowering local high school students through both the TEALS program and our partnership with Seattle’s Global Visionaries organization. 110 employees have raised money for new computers, advised on technology and volunteered as coaches and mentors to students in the Global Visionaries youth leadership programs.

SEATTLE, WA – Puget Sound Business Journal announced that 110 Consulting ranked number 29 on the 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies list at an awards event at The Washington State Convention Center on Oct. 12. The event, which drew nearly 500 people, announced and honored all 100 companies on the list and revealed each company’s ranking.
“The companies that make this list are, by definition, among the most dynamic in our region,” said Business Journal Publisher Gordon Prouty. “Especially this year, they have beaten the odds imposed by the Great Recession, making membership on this elite list all the more impressive. These companies are showing all of us what qualities it takes to grow in challenging times.”
